About Ms. Jones

Hello! My name is Alisha Jones, I am currently teaching 7th/8th grade science here at the Winslow Junior High. This is going to be my 9th year teaching. I was born and raised here in Winslow, Arizona. In May 2017 I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I am extremely passionate about inspiring curiosity and critical thinking in young minds through hands-on learning and exploration. I look forward to getting to know you and working with you throughout the year.

 

As the National Junior Honor Society Advisor, I have the privilege of guiding students to see the true meaning of leadership which begins with service. I want them to understand that giving back is not just something we do for our community but helps them to become someone who learns empathy, responsibility, perseverance and having the courage to make a difference.

Tutoring days: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:40am - 8:15am.
